Also known as cryptocurrencies.

  1. Bitcoin. Centralized. Comprises 50% of the market. One coin is currently 42,553 dollars.

2. Ethereum. Decentralized blockchain with smart contract functionality. One coin is currently 2286 dollars.

3. Tether USDt. A digital token built on multiple blockchains. USDt is currently 0.9998 dollars.

4. BNB. Binance coins were launched on the ethereum blockchain before being moved to the Binance chain. 100 million coin cap. Coin supply depletion based in part on gas fees. One BNB is currently 305.47.

5. Solana. A blockchain platform using proof of stake. More centralized than Ethereum. Coin called Sol. A third of Solanas top validators own more than 35% of the stake. One Sol is currently 95.74 dollars.

6. XRP. Ripple is a blockchain based digital payment network. Rather than blockchain mining, bank servers provide proof of authority. One XRP is currently 0.5039 dollars.

7. USDC. Digital coin backed 100% on liquid assets and equivalent 1:1 with the american USD. Circle began as a peer to peer payment tech company. Not a digital blockchain rather a digital currency, Circle wants to power crypto native trading for institutions and credit card transactions. Fast and secure. The 1:1 ratio is not infallible. Losing the stablecoin race to Tether. One USDC is currently 1.00 dollars.

8. Cardano. Cardano trades the currency ada. Cardano consider themselves a “third generation” alternative to Ethereum. Proof of stake is used and the stake is held by Cardano as collateral for honest validation behavior. One ADA is currently 0.4987 dollars.

9. Avalanche. Avalanche is an open source decentralized blockchain emphasizing speedy transactions and Web3 innovation.One AVAX is currently 35.04 dollars.

10. Dogecoin. Dogecoin was started as a joke but has flourished due to sponsorship from celebrities such as Elon Musk and Snoopdog. Dogecoin is often used to tip content creators on Reddit and other parts of the internet. It is open-source, peer to peer and was made as parody of the crypto market. One DOGE is currently 0.07841.
